Indianapolis 500 Tickets – Have a Glass of Milk

Indianapolis 500 Tickets are always incredibly difficult to find. One of the most well-known features of the Indianapolis 500, to even the most casual fan, is the jar of milk that is given to the winner. This time-honored tradition began in 1936 after Louis Meyer won his third Indianapolis 500. He wanted a glass of milk at the end of the race, just as he had gotten the previous two times. However, he was handed a bottle of milk instead. A photographer took a photo of him chugging the milk. Since then milk has been presented every year except from between 1947 and 1955. Witness history yourself and grab your Indianapolis 500 Tickets.

Indianapolis 500 Tickets – Hitting the Big Time

One reason Indianapolis 500 Tickets are so hard to find is that the race is considered to be one of the three most significant motor racing events in the world. Attendance is never disclosed, but with the permanent seating capacity and estimated infield attendance, the Indianapolis 500 average around 400,000 fans every year. This makes it the largest single-day sporting event in the world. It has become such an important race globally, that many international Indy racers are now racing in the United State, solely to be a part of the Indianapolis 500.
